Argentine Ants Control

Argentine Ant Control in Murrieta and Southern California

Argentine ants are one of the most persistent pests in Southern California, and once they find their way onto your property, the trails seem to multiply overnight. Bull’s Eye Pest Control is a locally owned company serving Murrieta, Rancho Cucamonga, and the surrounding communities with proven Argentine ant control. With nearly 20 years of experience in residential and commercial pest control, our team knows exactly how these colonies behave and how to shut them down at the source.

Why Homeowners Choose Bull's Eye for Argentine Ant Control

Argentine ants form supercolonies that can stretch across entire neighborhoods, so spot treatments rarely solve the problem. Our technicians follow the trails back to the nests, treat the perimeter, and set up a long-term plan that keeps new colonies from moving in.

FAQs

Argentine Ant Questions We Hear Most Often

Argentine ants are small, around 1/16 of an inch long, with a uniform shiny dark brown to black body. The dead giveaway is the trail. These ants travel in long, wide lines along sidewalks, foundations, fence lines, and tree branches. If you crush one, you will notice a faint musty smell. If you are seeing thousands of identical small ants moving in steady streams, there is a very good chance they are Argentine ants.

Store-bought sprays kill the ants you can see, but Argentine ants live in supercolonies with multiple queens spread across huge areas. Killing surface workers does nothing to the queens, so the colony just sends more. Our treatments use non-repellent products that workers carry back to the nest, which is what it takes to actually shrink the colony.

Argentine ants do not sting and their bites are not a serious health threat, but they are not harmless either. They contaminate food, spread bacteria across kitchen surfaces, and can drive out beneficial native insects. Their sheer numbers also make them a major nuisance in homes with kids and pets.

You should see a noticeable drop in activity within the first week or two after treatment. Because Argentine ant colonies are so large, full control usually takes a few service visits paired with a regular maintenance plan. Most of our customers stay on a recurring schedule so the ants do not get a chance to rebuild.

Seal cracks in your foundation and exterior walls, install door sweeps, fix any leaky pipes or hose bibs, and avoid overwatering your lawn and plant beds. Trim back tree branches that touch the house, store firewood away from the structure, and keep food sealed inside. These steps make your property far less attractive while we handle the colony itself.
